The Business Growth West Midlands (BGWM) Supply Chain Transition programme is on a mission to empower ambitious SMEs in the West Midlands with a robust support package to tap into new supply chain prospects. This strand of the programme targets dynamic sectors in Health and Med Tech, Manufacture of Future Housing and Smart Energy Systems, and is designed to propel businesses towards securing new supply chain orders in these sectors.


Funded by the UK Government and provided by Business Growth West Midlands, businesses will benefit from tailored one-to-one support and guidance from a team of experienced Supply Chain Advisers and specialised interventions. There is also an opportunity to attend exclusive events, designed to create a platform to learn new skills, forge valuable connections and enhance your business success within these sector groups.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

To participate in this subsidised programme, businesses must meet the eligibility and suitability criteria listed below.

ELIGIBLILITY 

SUITABILITY

Be based in the West Midlands

(Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall or Wolverhampton)

Have the ambition to transition or win more contracts in the supply chains of the three sector groups: Health & Med Tech, Manufacture of Future Housing and Smart Energy Systems

Be registered in the United Kingdom

Demonstrable commitment to grow (Both in revenue and staff)

Be a Small to Medium-Sized Enterprise

Have not received more than £315,000 in public funding over the past three financial years

Demonstrate strong leadership and adaptability to enter new supply chains

The Supply Chain Transition programme: Health & Med Tech, Manufacture of Future Housing & Smart Energy Systems is delivered by Newable, in collaboration with Enterprise Nation and Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce on behalf of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) and Business Growth West Midlands


The Supply Chain Transition programme is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK by investing in communities and places and supporting local businesses, people and skills. As a result, a range of data points must be collected to assess your eligibility and suitability to participate in this funded project.
